CONTENT WITH WHO YOU ARE

In 1922 Frances Ethel Gumm was born. Frances changed her name to Judy Garland at the insistence of well-known entertainer George Jessel while performing with his act during the 1934 World’s Fair in Chicago. After moving to Hollywood with her family, Judy signed a movie contract with MGM in 1935 (she was only thirteen at the time). Garland made thirty-two feature films, the most notable of which was The WIzard of Oz.

Judy gave this straightforward advice: “Always be a first-rate version of yourself instead of a second-rate version of someone else.”

It’s tempting to go along with the crowd, but the crowd may not be going in your direction. So copy no one - make up your mind to be the real you. Be content knowing that you are a unique woman created by a loving God.
