Lots to Learn
Commit yourself to instruction; attune your ears to hear words of knowledge. -Proverbs 23:12
Whether you're twenty-five or ninety-five, you still have lots to learn-and that's good! The world is an exciting place for thoughtful people like you who continue to feed their brains a steady supply of good thoughts and new thoughts.
Education is the means by which we come to know and appreciate the world. Learning is not a luxury, it's a necessity and a powerful tool for good in this world. And it's a tool we should use and share during every stage of life. Eleanor Roosevelt noted, "All of life is a constant education."
One sure benefit of education, as teacher Marva Collins pointed out, is that "when someone is taught the joy of learning, it becomes a lifelong process that never stops."
Lifetime learning is both wonderful and essential. Class is never really dismissed.
"Real education should educate us out of self and into something far finer; into a selflessness which links us with all humanity." - Nancy Astor
