Your Monday Hug for Nov 03, 2025: His Comforting Hand
Happy Monday, my Friend!
Sometimes grief feels heavy, but even in those moments, God’s comforting hand is right there, steady and full of love. This week, we pause to reflect on His presence, especially as we remember the faithful departed.
Yesterday was All Souls Day and this month the Church honors the Holy Souls in Purgatory - plus many parishes are holding Remembrance Masses to pray for those who’ve gone before us. This week begins a special time to honor them and trust in God’s tender, guiding hand.
Even in sorrow or loss, God gently reminds us we are never alone, our grief is not wasted, and His plan is always unfolding for our good.

Take a few minutes to watch this week’s short reflection. It’s a gentle reminder that leaning on God’s comforting hand can bring peace to your heart, calm to your spirit, and courage to keep moving forward.
His Comforting Hand
Excerpt from Hugs: Daily Inspirations for Women
"God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us." - 2 Corinthians 7:6 NIV
Even if you are a joyous, optimistic woman, you may find your spirit almost broken by the disappointments and tragedies that are the inevitable consequence of living long and loving deeply. But your heartache need never be in vain.
Elisabeth Kübler-Ross described her own losses this way: "I shall be richer all my life for this sorrow." On a similar note, singer Judy Collins observed, "Grief shows us the beauties in life and teaches us to appreciate them."
So the next time you find your courage pushed to the limit, lean on God's promises and accept the touch of His comforting hand. Remember that God rules both on mountaintops and in valleys, with limitless wisdom and love, now and forever.
"Put your hand into the hand of God. He gives the calmness and serenity of heart and soul." - Mrs. Charles E. Cowman
Untying the Knots Within – One Thought at a Time
This week, take a few moments to rest in God’s comforting hand. Try one of these gentle practices to help you focus your heart and thoughts on His peace, presence, and loving guidance:
- Mini Prayer: “Lord, hold me in Your comforting hand today. Let me feel Your peace, even in moments of grief or uncertainty.”
- Quiet Practice: Take 5 minutes to light a candle and silently pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. Imagine God’s hand guiding and supporting them - and you.

Saint Companion:
-
St. Martin de Porres (Nov 3) – Patron of social justice, the poor, animal caretakers, and public health workers. His humility and care for the suffering remind us of God’s tender hand reaching through our own acts of love.
- St. Charles Borromeo (Nov 4) - Patron of catechists, seminarians, clergy reform, and the sick. His dedication to guiding and protecting others shows us how God comforts through the ministry of others.

- Product Tip: Attach any of our rosary markers to your keychain or rearview mirror rosary to invite the saint’s intercessory prayers and carry a daily reminder of God’s comforting hand.

Let’s pray …
Dear God,
Thank You for allowing me to witness Your comforting hand in my life. Thank You for reminding me that even in sorrow, loss, or uncertainty, I am never alone. Help me to trust in Your plan, to feel Your peace, and to share that love with others. May I reflect Your presence in all I do, and find courage in Your promises, now and always. Amen.
Walking with you in faith,
Kathleen
