Outside the Comfort Zone
God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible. - 2 Timothy 1:7
Risk is an inevitable fact of life. From the moment we arise in the morning until the moment we drift off to sleep at night, we face a wide array of risks, both great and small.
Some risks, of course, should be avoided at costs-these include risky behaviors that drive us further and further away from God's will for our lives. Yet other risks-the kinds of risks that we must take in order to expand our horizons and expand our faith - should be accepted as the inevitable price we must pay for living full and productive lives.
Have you planted yourself firmly inside your own comfort zone? If so, it's time to reconsider the direction and scope of your activities. God has big plans for you, but those plans will most likely require you to expand your comfort zone or
leave it altogether.
