03.11.2024 - YOUR WEEKLY HUG - POSITIVE INSPIRATION FOR YOUR WEEK

Happy Monday, My Friend!

There may be shadows lurking, but let's kick off the week with at hug!

Join me for the next ~8 minutes as we plunge into this uplifting message from the Hugs devotional. Let the words of inspiration be your companion and guiding light for the remainder of the week!

And after the video finishes, take a moment to engage in conversation with the Lord. Be sincere. Ask where does He intend for your focus this week? Where are you finding difficulty? Maybe he's calling you to persevere despite what may be happening around you? Just take the time and ask for His guidance.

Beyond the Darkness

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.” - Psalm 42:11

Grief visits all of us who live long and love deeply. When we lose a loved one, or when we experience any other profound loss, darkness overwhelms us for a while. We feel as though we cannot summon the strength to face another day-but with God's help, we can.

God promises that He is "close to the broken-hearted" (Psalm 34:18). In times of intense sadness, we can turn to Him, and we can turn to close friends and family. When we do, we can be comforted . . . and in time we will be healed.

Concentration-camp survivor Corrie ten Boom said, "There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still." Let us remember those words and live by them . . . especially when the days seem dark.

God is good, and heaven is forever. These two facts should brighten up even the darkest day.” - Marie T. Freeman
