Your Monday Hug for Nov 17, 2025: You Are Blessed
Happy Monday, my Friend!
The moment I said this week’s theme - “You Are Blessed” - Elton John’s Blessed immediately started playing in my head. While it came out in 1995, I remember listening to many years later around the time my daughter was born. Ever since then, that song reminds me of her - one of the countless ways God has blessed my life.
And that’s the heart of this week’s message: pausing long enough to notice the blessings already in our lives, staying open to the ones still to come, and giving thanks for all of them - big and small.
I hope you’ll take a few minutes to continue scrolling, hear this week’s reflection, and explore the feast days and rosaries that can help us stay rooted seeing and thanking God for our blessings.

You Are Blessed
Excerpt from Hugs: Daily Inspirations for Women
" The Lord is good, and His love is eternal; His faithfulness endures through all generations." - Psalm 100:5 HCSB
Do you know how richly you have been blessed? While God’s gifts are too numerous to count, you'll be wise to inventory as many blessings as you can, as often as you can.
Author Elisabeth Elliot said, "It is always possible to be thankful for what is given rather than to complain about what is not given. One or the other becomes a habit of life."
Remember, as songwriter Gloria Gaither encourages us, "God has promised that if we harvest well with the tools of thanksgiving, there will be seeds for planting in the spring."
Are you taking God's gifts for granted? That would be a disservice to your Creator and to yourself. The best way to resolve that problem is to make every day a time for celebration and praise. Starting today.
“If you pause to think - you'll have cause to thank!” - Unknown Author
Untying the Knots Within – One Step of Faith at a Time
This week, take a few moments to slow down, notice the good around you, and thank God for the quiet ways He’s blessing you today.
- Mini Prayer: “Lord, open my eyes to the blessings already around me, and help me welcome the new graces You are preparing for me today.”
- Quiet Practice: Spend five minutes writing a quick blessing list - no overthinking, just noticing. Big, small, ordinary, surprising… they all count.

Let’s pray …
This week’s song inspiration, Blessed by Elton John, felt like the perfect spark for our prayer:
Dear God,
Thank You for the blessings You’ve already poured into my life and for the ones still on the way.
Help me to see Your goodness in each moment,
to trust that You desire the best for me,
and to live with a grateful and open heart.
May I remember today - and every day -
that I am blessed… and will continue to be blessed.
Amen.
Walking with you in faith,
Kathleen
