Happy Monday!!

This week's message from the Hugs devotional is approximately 7.5 minutes. Let this week's inspiration be your companion and guiding light for the remainder of the week --- You won't want to miss a second of it - so many good things!

Following the video, I invite you to take a few moments to sit quietly with God and reflect on what was shared.

Outside the Comfort Zone

God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible. - 2 Timothy 1:7

Risk is an inevitable fact of life. From the moment we arise in the morning until the moment we drift off to sleep at night, we face a wide array of risks, both great and small.

Some risks, of course, should be avoided at costs-these include risky behaviors that drive us further and further away from God's will for our lives. Yet other risks-the kinds of risks that we must take in order to expand our horizons and expand our faith - should be accepted as the inevitable price we must pay for living full and productive lives.

Have you planted yourself firmly inside your own comfort zone? If so, it's time to reconsider the direction and scope of your activities. God has big plans for you, but those plans will most likely require you to expand your comfort zone or
leave it altogether.

“The idea of always playing it safe, never venturing out of our comfort zone, and refusing to broaden the borders of our experience is stultifying.” - Marilyn Meberg
