Ready, Set, Paddle!

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. - Isaiah 43:2

Katharine Hepburn was a surprisingly down-to-earth woman, one who was never blinded by the bright lights of Hollywood. And though she enjoyed a long-lasting and record-breaking career, she never rested on her laurels. Katharine said, “I’ve learned that as you go through life, if you don’t paddle your own canoe, you don’t move.” And she was right.

So if you’re waiting for the currents of life to carry you to safe harbor, it’s probably time to reconsider. Your destination awaits, but life’s waters are not always smooth. And as Ms. Hepburn would be quick to point out, if you want to sail off happily into the sunset, you’d better start paddling … oar else!
