Welcome to your Monday Hug!
Today, I invite you to spend the next 3.5+ minutes with me to hear a special inspirational message from the Hugs devotional. It's here to inspire and help guide you through the rest of your week!
And after the video finishes, you’re encouraged to take a few moments to sit quietly and reflect on what you heard.
If you'd like to learn more about the Amethyst Heart Wooden Ornament Door Hanger that is hanging on the doorknob behind Kathleen in the video, click here.
Blessings to you as you prepare for the week ahead!
The Importance of Friends
God gave us this command: Those who love God must also love their brothers and sisters. - 1 John 4:21
In 1950 an Associated Press poll voted Babe Didrikson Zaharias the outstanding female athlete of the first half of the twentieth century. And she earned it. Babe was the 1932 Olympic gold medalist in both the javelin and the eighty-meter hurdles. But she didn’t stop there.
After her career in track and field was completed, Babe took up the sport of golf and fashioned herself into one of the best women golfers in history. Looking back on her life, though, Babe observed, “Winning has meant much to me, but winning friends has meant even more.” Her words remind us that few things in life are more important than the enduring bonds of friendship. Let us never forget that lesson, and let us never forget our friends.
“Friends are like a quilt with lots of different shapes, sizes, colors, and patterns of fabric. But the end result brings you warmth and comfort in a support system that makes your life richer and fuller.” - Suzanne Dale Ezell
