Too Busy to Hug?

Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. - Romans 12:11

Sometimes, when our to-do lists are filled to overflowing, we feel as though there isn’t a minute to spare. But we should never be too busy to share an encouraging word or a heartfelt hug with our family members and friends.

Saint Teresa of Avila believed, “The nicest thing we can do for our heavenly Father is to be kind to one of His children.” And Barbara Johnson noted, “Sometimes one little spark of kindness is all it takes to reignite the light of hope in a heart that’s blinded by pain.” These words serve as timely reminders that we should never be too busy to spread kindness as we pass through this world. And the best moment to share a kind hug or gentle word is this one.
