Your Monday Hug for Dec 22, 2025: Dreaming Together
Happy Monday, my Friend!
Welcome to the last week of Advent!
This week’s theme is Dreaming Together. Perry Como’s song “Dream Along With Me (I’m on My Way to a Star)” fits perfectly, as we follow the star to Jesus’ birth on Thursday. Just like the song invites us to dream and hope, this week’s reflection encourages us to pause, notice the dreams God has placed in our hearts, and remember the people He may have given us to dream alongside.
Take a quiet moment to watch this week’s video reflection, and then spend time with God afterward - sharing your hopes, listening for His guidance, or simply sitting in stillness and silence. Even in the midst of a busy season, dreaming together with God brings comfort, joy, and life.

Excerpt from Hugs: Daily Inspirations for Women, 2005
"When dreams come true, there is life and joy." - Proverbs 13:12 NLT
A barber in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, dreamed of being a singer. So at the urging of his wife, he closed his barbershop and began a career in music. Before he was finished, Perry Como had scored a string of hits, including such classics as "It's Impossible" and "Catch a Falling Star." He also hosted his own long-running TV show.
Looking back on his career, Como said, "When I started out, I was so discouraged I wanted to quit many times. The only reason I didn't was because of my wife, Roselle, who always stood by me."
The story of Roselle and Perry Como shows that dreaming can be a team sport. When two or more people dare to dream big dreams together, nothing is impossible.
“Sometimes our dreams were so big that it took two people to dream them." - Marie T. Freeman
Untying the Knots Within – One Step of Faith at a Time
This is a week to remember that our dreams, hopes, and steps of faith are never carried alone - God walks with us, and the saints accompany us as faithful examples of dreaming, trusting, and persevering in God’s plan.
- Mini Prayer: "Lord, help me to trust You with my dreams and to walk in faith, alongside those You place in my life."
- Quiet Practice: Take a few moments each day to sit in stillness, reflect on the dreams God has placed in your heart, and notice who He may have given you to dream alongside.
-
Our Lord & Saint Companions for this week:
- Our Lord Jesus Christ (Dec 25): The ultimate fulfillment of God’s promises and dreams - our guide and constant companion.
- St. Stephen (Dec 26): A model of faith and courage, showing us that following God’s call may require trust even in the face of difficulty.
- St. John the Apostle & Evangelist (Dec 27): Reminds us to hold tight to God’s visions and to share His love with others, dreaming together in faith.
- Product Tip: Let your Door Rosary serve as your star, leading you to Christ’s peace each day, and a gentle reminder that dreaming together with God and the saints can untie the knots of worry or doubt.

Let’s pray …
Lord,
As Advent comes to a close, we place our dreams in Your hands.
Help us trust You, lean on those You’ve given us, and follow the star that leads us to You.
Guide us in faith as we prepare our hearts to welcome Christ.
Amen.
Walking with you in faith,
Kathleen
