Forgiving and Forgetting
Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another. - Ephesians 4:32
When people behave badly, it's hard to forgive them. Sometimes it's impossible to forget the people who hurt our feelings. But even if we can't forget, we can forgive. And that's exactly what God teaches us to do.
What if you've already tried to forgive someone and simply can't seem to do it? Then you must keep trying. God instructs us to treat other people exactly as we wish to be treated. And since you want to be forgiven for the mistakes you make, you must be willing to extend forgiveness to other people for the mistakes that they've made. So if you can't seem to forgive someone, keep asking God to help you until you do. You can be sure that if you keep asking for His help, He will give it.
"The more you practice the art of forgiving, the better you'll be at the art of living." - Marie T. Freeman
