08.21.2023 - Your Weekly Hug - Positive Inspiration for Your Week
Hello! Welcome to Your Weekly Hug!
Today, I invite you to spend the next ~4.5 minutes with me to hear a special inspirational message from the Hugs devotional. It's here to inspire and help guide you through the rest of your week!
And after the video finishes, you’re invited to take a few moments to sit quietly and reflect on what you heard.
If you'd like to learn more about the St. Michael Archangel Door Rosary that is hanging on the doorknob behind Kathleen in the video, click here.
May Christ's peace be with you as you prepare for the week ahead! Please know I'm praying for you!
Hugs,
Kathleen
Plans: Yours and God’s
“The LORD will do what is good in his sight.” - 1 Chronicles 19:13
All of us must, from time to time, endure days of suffering and pain. And as human beings with limited understanding, we seldom fully understand the plans of our Father in heaven. But we must learn to trust Him.
Corrie ten Boom understood that her own ability to understand the ebbs and flows of life was limited but that God's is not. She said, "O Lord, thank You that Your side of the embroidery of our life is always perfect. That is such a comfort when our side is sometimes so mixed up."
When facing trials and tribulations, it's easy to ask, "Why me?" But even on life's dark days, you can be comforted by the knowledge that God is in charge and that He has plans for you ... very good plans.
“I'm convinced that there is nothing that can happen to me in this life that is not precisely designed by a sovereign Lord to give me the opportunity to learn to know Him.” - Elisabeth Elliot
