Your Monday Hug Devotion for June 9, 2025: God's Power to Renew
Welcome to this week’s Monday Hug Devotion!
Pentecost reminds us that the Holy Spirit doesn’t just visit us once and leave - He dwells with us, breathing new life into weary hearts and igniting fresh purpose in our souls. And today, on the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, we’re reminded that the fire of God’s love began in a small, hidden place - in Mary’s “yes.”
As we celebrate both the coming of the Holy Spirit and Mary’s motherly care for the Church, this week’s devotional invites you to pause and receive God’s power to renew.
Life can feel like a constant spin of tasks, expectations, and fatigue - especially for women juggling it all. But in the middle of the noise, God offers a sacred pause. He doesn’t ask us to muster up more strength. He simply asks us to come to Him.
This week, consider:
Where are you running on empty - emotionally, spiritually, or physically? Are you trying to fix or carry something that God wants to restore and renew for you?
The Holy Spirit is not a distant flame - He’s a present comforter, counselor, and source of divine energy. And Mary, ever our mother, points us straight to her Son when we need renewal most.
In this week’s reflection, you’ll find:
- Encouragement for when you’re feeling spiritually drained
- A reminder that God is your strength, especially when you have none left
- A gentle nudge to stop striving and start receiving His power

God's Power to Renew
Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. - Isaiah 40:31
For busy women living in a fast-paced, twenty-first-century world, life may seem like a merry-go-round that never stops spinning. If that description seems to fit your life, you may find yourself running short of patience or strength - or both.
When you feel tired or discouraged, there is a source from which you can draw the power needed to recharge your spiritual batteries. That source is God.
Are you exhausted or troubled? Weak or worried? Worn down or burned out? If so, have a heart-to-heart talk with God. When you do, you’ll discover that the Creator of the universe can help you gain a renewed sense of hope and a fresh perspective. Your job is to let Him do it.
