This world can be a difficult place, a place where many of our friends and family members are troubled by the inevitable challenges of everyday life. And since we can never be certain who needs our help, we should be careful to speak helpful words to everyone who crosses our paths.
The apostle Paul wrote, "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen" (Ephesians 4:29 NIV). Paul reminds us that when we choose our words carefully, we can have a powerful impact on those around us.
Today let's share kind words, smiles, encouragement, and hugs with family, with friends, and with the world.
