Your Monday Hug Devotion for February 24, 2025: Making it Happen

Making it Happen: Your Monday Hug Devotion

Welcome to this week’s Monday Hug Devotion! This week, let’s focus on perseverance, action, and trusting in God’s perfect plan as we step forward in faith.

Life presents challenges that may seem unfair or discouraging, but setbacks do not define our future - our response does. Instead of dwelling on past difficulties, let’s channel our energy into moving forward, embracing each obstacle as an opportunity to grow and build the life God has prepared for us.

Taking action in faith means trusting that every step, no matter how small, is part of something greater. Whether through prayer, setting new goals, or taking a leap of faith, God is with you, guiding your journey.

In today’s video, you’ll find:

  • Encouragement to take steps toward your goals with faith and determination
  • A reminder that every obstacle can be a steppingstone to something greater
  • Simple ways to stay focused on God’s plan and take inspired action

After watching, take a moment to reflect on one step you can take this week to move forward. Let go of past regrets and embrace the possibilities ahead.

Making it Happen

"I say this because I know what I am planning for you," says the LORD. "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future." - Jeremiah 29:11

She graduated with honors from one of the best law schools in the country bu received few job offers. Why? Because in 1952 many people thought women weren't supposed to be lawyers. Three decades later, after a distinguished career and with remarkably little animosity about past slights, Sandra Day O'Connor became the first female justice of the United States Supreme Court.

If you feel that you've suffered unfair treatment, remember Justice O'Connor. Invest your energy in making things better today, not in rehashing the past. The trials in life are difficult enough without bitterness and regret. Besides, when it comes to your future, the jury is still out, and the verdict is up to you. You can't afford to dwell on yesterday - you've got to get on the case today. You can do it, and if you don't give up, you will.

"Life's ups and downs provide windows of opportunity to determine your values and goals. Think of using all obstacles as steppingstones to build the life you want." - Marsha Sinetar
