What is a Door Rosary?
It’s a single decade of prayer knots attached to a lovely cross. You hang it on any inside door or wall as a visual sign of your faith and reminder to pray. The rope is strong enough to hold up to years of door opening and closing, but is also soft to the touch. (I've had the same Door Rosary on my door since 2010...it's moved with us from the US to Asia and back, and it still looks good!)
Who made this Door Rosary & how is it made? My Father-in-Law or I tie each knot, saying a prayer. You would think that we would be saying Hail Mary for each knot, but we don't always. Sometimes the prayers are for the world to be a better place, they may be asking for you to receive joy by way of this rosary, for someone in our life, Our Father, Hail Mary, giving thanks, or whatever else comes to us at that moment. Once the knots are tied, I marry them with a cross that feels right for that particular color and texture of knots.
